Kevin McClellan is a Cincinnati-born bassist, and Graduate of the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. he spent six months studying traditional Brazilian music with Bassist Zé Alexandre. While in Brazil, he performed regularly with a samba jazz trio, led by the great Brazilian drummer Helder Samara. He has recorded and performed with a wide range of musicians across many genres, including Steve Wilson, Joe LaBarbera, John Von Ohlen, and Ric Hordinski, Bruno Mangueira, David Roitstein, and
Kevin recently moved to Los Angeles to pursue a master's degree at the California Institute of the Arts. There, he studies bass with Darek “Oles” Oleszkiewicz and North Indian music with Randy Gloss and Aashish Khan. He is also a member of the Colibri Quartet and Tamir Kedem’s Septagon.
